Washcare Instructions
Wash: Turn inside out; machine wash cold or warm; gentle cycle.
Bleach: Do not bleach.
Detergent: Use mild detergent; avoid harsh chemicals.
Dry: Air‑dry flat; or tumble dry low.
Iron: Do not iron elastic areas.
Storage: Pair and store flat or rolled.
1. Preparation
– Turn inside out before washing to remove sweat, dirt, and bacteria.
– Sort by colour and fabric (cotton, wool, synthetics) to prevent colour transfer and fabric damage.
2. Washing
– Machine wash: use cold or warm water (avoid hot); choose a gentle cycle for delicate and wool.
– Hand wash: soak in lukewarm water with mild detergent; gently rub—do not scrub.
3. Detergent & Additives
– Use a mild detergent; avoid harsh chemicals and fabric softeners that reduce elasticity.
– Do not use bleach unless the sock label explicitly allows it for white cotton.
– For odour control, add a small amount of baking soda or white vinegar to the wash.
4. Drying
– Air‑dry flat to preserve shape and elasticity.
– If using a dryer, select low heat to avoid shrinkage and elastic damage.
– Avoid direct sunlight for coloured socks to prevent fading.
5. Storage
– Pair immediately after drying to avoid mismatches.
– Store flat or rolled (do not stretch over hangers) to preserve elastic life.
– High heat shrinks cotton and weakens elastic.
– Bleach causes fibre weakening and discoloration.
– Over‑drying shortens sock lifespan.
– Mixing fabrics (wool with synthetics) can cause pilling or distortion
– Wool socks: cold wash, gentle cycle, no dryer (air-dry only).
– Compression socks: hand wash or gentle cycle, air-dry only to protect compression.
